Ascend to the Light

This work was created during PNW Plein Air Competition, on location looking under the Dalles Bridge.

I went to that location to paint the bridge itself, but the wind was fierce and I tucked behind my car to see this back lit brush and wild flowers with distant cliffs of the Columbia River Gorge. It was the golden hour, and I wanted to convey the warm light. There is something naturally inviting about the light, and the pathway there calls us to ascend to it.

If purchased outside the competition, this work includes shipping and comes with this frame. Contact me if you would like an unframed price after the event.
