Timberline View

This small painting was inspired by a view of Mt Hood from Timberline Lodge a few years back. At the time we had a bit more snow than we have had this year as temperatures continue to climb each summer. I never forgot how grand the mountain felt from that elevation. I wanted to show the variations of grey in the exposed rock. The wildflowers were still in bloom, still took a backseat in my mind.
