Glazed Sand

In this piece, I wanted to emphasize the moody landscape of the Oregon coast. We often have grey days with dramatic changes in light caused by shifting clouds. Therefore, I intentionally limited my pallet to only two colors plus white. This allowed me to create some shifts in temperature, push the limited of these two colors with restraint. I also enjoy using the freedom of palette knife for painting something so unrestricted as water.
